the National Assoc of Home Builders publishes a monthly housing index ( improving markets index) listing cities that have shown improvement in housing permits, employment, and home prices. for the FOURTH month in a row their list has grown with December rising to 41 cities from 30, previously. much to NO surprise good ol’ TEXAS leads the way with cities occupying EIGHT spots on the list of 41 improving markets. for details on criteria please see NAHB’s link here.
