US home builders are LESS pessimistic – I’ll take it!! according to the nat’l association of home builders the builder’s sentiment index rose a surprising 4 points from 14 to 18. the index has been below 20 in all but one month over the last 2 years – so, according to cole, this is welcomed news as we inch our way closer to that resistance level at 20. the trade group identified several pockets of strength and of the 23 ‘improving’ metro areas highlighted by builders, SEVEN are in TEXAS! read the full ABC News article here.
one last little note – according to the nat’l association of home builders for every new home that’s built there’s an average of 3 jobs created and more than $90,000 in taxes.
